PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
CDC uses the principles encompassed in Managing Successful Programmes when managing any programme of work. Programme Management provides a structure to ensure the management of the change process, through the realisation of the outcomes that in turn will deliver an organisation's vision.
Programmes consist of a portfolio of projects - and while projects are focused on achieving the desired outputs (e.g. implementation of a new IT system). Programmes are focused on achieving the desired outcomes and to realise the benefits of these outcomes. The identification, monitoring and measurement of benefits is a fundamental part of successful Programme Management. By coordinating a portfolio of projects Programmes can ensure that they deliver additional benefits.
At CDC we believe that our Programme Managers must fully understand the Change Management process as well as Programme Management and can therefore ensure that new ways of working are introduced as a Programme is deployed.
